Welcome to the premier PADI dive center located in the authentic fishing village of La Lajita. Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura (found online at scuba-fuerteventura.com) is a professional PADI Dive Center dedicated to providing safe, high-quality underwater experiences in the Canary Islands.
Our center is strategically located on near the beach of La Lajita (Municipality of Pájara). This location allows us to offer an easy access to the volcanic reefs and crystal-clear waters of the La Lajita bay. We are the closest professional dive school for guests staying in Costa Calma and Tarajalejo (just a 5-10 minute drive), near the Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura park.
Under the guidance of Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura, you will explore the dramatic underwater topography of southern Fuerteventura. Our dive sites are home to iconic Macaronesian species, including Angel Sharks, Stingrays, Barracudas, and Cuttlefish. Whether you are visiting for a day trip or completing a full certification, our goal is to provide a professional, friendly, and unforgettable adventure beneath the waves.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER: Become a Certified Scuba Diver
Get your worldwide scuba certification with Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular way to become a certified diver. Our center in La Lajita (located just a short walk from the beach) offers a relaxed, professional environment perfect for students staying in Costa Calma and Jandía. The course includes e-learning (online theory), a confined water dive with a comprehensive set of exercises, 4 open water dives and a certification by PADI, the world’s most renowned scuba diving federation. Throughout the course, you will practice essential scuba skills under the guidance of our experienced PADI instructors. Upon completing the Open Water Diver (OWD) course, you'll receive a certification that allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters in any country around the world.
If you don’t have enough time to complete full course, you can opt for the PADI Scuba Diver course, which is a shortened version of the OWD course, and takes only 1 day. Later on you can upgrade your license to Open Water Diver in any PADI dive center in the world. The Scuba Diver license allows you to dive down to 12 meters.

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER – Explore Deeper
Elevate your skills with Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura. This course is designed to expand your underwater horizons through 5 specialized Adventure Dives. Based in La Lajita, we take you to the best dive sites in southern Fuerteventura to build your confidence and expertise. You will study various topics related to diving, such as deep diving, underwater navigation, night diving, wreck diving, buoyancy control, and more. You will complete 5 dives focusing on specific areas of diving under the supervision of our highly trained PADI scuba instructor. This certification opens up new diving opportunities and enables you to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters. It is an excellent way to gain more experience and confidence as a diver and get ready for more challenging dive sites and conditions.

PADI DEEP DIVER – Dive to 40m in Fuerteventura
The PADI Deep Diver specialty at Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura is designed to equip divers with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely plan and conduct dives to depths of up to 40 meters. Based in La Lajita, our expert PADI instructors will guide you through the procedures of deep-sea exploration. During the Deep Diver specialty course, you will learn about the physiological effects, equipment considerations, and planning procedures associated with deep diving.

PADI EFR: Primary & Secondary Care in La Lajita
Gain the confidence to act in an emergency with the Emergency First Response (EFR) course at Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura. This internationally recognized program covers essential CPR and First Aid skills that are useful not only for scuba diving but also in everyday life. Located in our professional classroom setting in La Lajita, we provide a relaxed and supportive environment to master these lifesaving techniques. The training consists of knowledge development, skill practice, and scenario-based assessments. The EFR course is a mandatory prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver certification, but it is open to everyone—even non-divers. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an EFR certification valid for two years.

PADI RESCUE DIVER – Become a Safer Buddy
The PADI Rescue Diver course is often described by our guests as the most challenging yet rewarding program we offer. It is the most important "bridge" between being a recreational diver and becoming a truly safe, self-sufficient professional.At Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura, you will learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, becoming a more confident diver and a better teammate. The course covers topics such as self-rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management, and rescue techniques. During your Rescue Diver training, you will receive theoretical classes from your instructor, practice a set of skills in the water, and complete the course by participating in open water rescue scenarios.

BECOME A PADI PROFESSIONAL – Divemaster Training in La Lajita
Transform your passion into a career with the PADI Divemaster course at Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura. As the first level of professional training, this program is designed to develop your leadership abilities and refine your diving skills to a professional level. Based in our specialized center in La Lajita, you will work closely with our experienced instructors to learn the "behind-the-scenes" of a busy dive center near Costa Calma. The Divemaster course involves knowledge development of dive physics, physiology, and equipment; practical application, and hands-on training. You will learn about dive leadership and how to supervise dive activities, assist with student divers, and conduct certain PADI programs. To complete the Divemaster course, you need to have 60 registered dives, and pass the final examsAt Diving Atlantis, we don't just teach you the book; we integrate you into our daily operations along the Pájara coast, giving you the real-world experience needed to work anywhere in the world.
Additional costs: Divemaster materials (280 euros), and the PADI federation annual fee upon completing the course (about 125 euros).

Where is Diving Atlantis Fuerteventura located?
Our dive center is located in the peaceful village of La Lajita, just a 5-minute drive from Costa Calma and near Oasis Wildlife. We are perfectly situated for divers staying in the south of Fuerteventura: Tarajalejo, Costa Calma, Esquinzo, Jandía, Morro Jable.
Do I need experience to try scuba diving?
No prior experience is necessary! Our Try Scuba Diving (Intro Dive) is designed for absolute beginners. Our PADI instructors will guide you from the shore in the calm, protected waters of La Lajita bay.
What is the minimum age for scuba diving?
Children can start their diving adventure from 8 years old for shallow water experiences, or 10 years old for the PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification and ocean dives.
What marine life can I see?
The reefs around La Lajita are a biodiversity hotspot. Depending on the season, you can see Angel Sharks, Stingrays, Barracudas, Cuttlefish, and colorful Parrotfish in their natural habitat.
Do I need a medical certificate?
For most recreational diving, you simply need to fill out a standard medical questionnaire. If you answer "yes" to certain health conditions, a physician's approval may be required.
Is equipment included in the price?
Yes, all our courses and try dives include high-quality, well-maintained diving equipment. For certified divers we offer gear rental.

Important Information
Last-Minute Bookings: Online bookings are available up to 6 hours before the activity. For last-minute dives, please contact us directly via WhatsApp or Phone.
Pick-up & Transfers: If you are staying in a private apartment, please send us the exact address or a Google Maps pin. On the day of your tour, please wait for our transfer outside the main building.
